Native to the eastern Mediterranean and Asia, fenugreek is the seed of an aromatic plant of the pea family. The seeds are pebble-shaped, and their color is yellow-brown. They are bittersweet with aromatics similar to celery and lovage with hints of honey or maple, flavor curry powders, spice blends, teas, bread, Indian cuisine, and pickling.
