Turmeric has been used for culinary purposes since 600 BC. It is the root of a tropical plant related to ginger, and native to the Orient. Our turmeric is aromatic with hints of pepper, citrus, with floral and ginger notes. Use in curry powder, vegetarian cooking with bean and lentil dishes, sauces, also to flavor lamb, paella, rice dishes, fish and shellfish, and poultry.
